How to get to Whitney Woods:
First find Rawtenstall which is at the northern end of the M66 and is south of Junction 8 of the M65 in Lancashire. When you get to Rawtenstall, take the A681 signposted to Bacup. After approx half a mile, you will cross a mini roundabout and on your right, you will see a pub called the Ashworth Arms. Hill End Lane is the second right turn after the pub. If you go through a set of traffic lights, you have gone 50 yards too far!
Turn into Hill End Lane and go straight ahead through the factory gates that are 50 yards in front of you.
