Creative Table Talkers,Bill Presenters and Door Hangers-In Hotel Advertising

March 16th, 2011 by admin

card carriersYou don’t want to miss any opportunity to advertise and push your current promotions. There are many unusual and creative ways of ensuring that all your guests are aware of incentives and special offers available to them.  Attention to detail with novelty table talkers, bill presenters and door hangers are just some of the ways of adding to the overall pleasure of the stay for your guest whilst seizing opportunities to promote your venue.

Table Talkers do the talking for you

Table Talkers are an effective way of publicising any new promotions and special offers; new menus, special menus, special spa deals or weekend accommodation rates are just some of the ideas for using them. Don’t be disillusioned that they are only for tables, they can be used anywhere. Examples of alternative display areas are counters and reception desks.  The Prism Card table talkers can be either “tent” style or upright style and with your custom print and message will catch the eye of your guests and work hard for you.

Enhancing the Presentation of the Bill

Your hotel guests will appreciate the fact that you have custom designed bill presentation pouches, and hotel key card carriers.  At the end of a meal in your Restaurant where the guests have been wined and dined with excellent food, lovely crockery and impeccable service why not present their bill in a decorative less intrusive way than the usual leatherette bound wallets or a silver tray?  Creating a theme with matching brand awareness hotel key card holders, restaurant bill presenters and final bill presenters at check-out is working extremely well for a  multi-national hotel chain at the moment.

Let your guests snooze with Novelty Door Hangers

We are all aware of the traditional “Do not Disturb” hotel door hanger, however in the modern world there are so many ways additional in which they can be used. They can be used to signify that a guest requires the “breakfast in a bag” when leaving very early for a business meeting; that clean towels are not required today (looking after the environment) and these are just two examples. You can be imaginative with the door hangers too, they do not have to be the traditional shape they can be designed to reflect the hotel name or facilities at the hotel and become a novel and eye-catching product.

Custom Mailing Packs bring focus to your B2B Direct Mail

November 26th, 2010 by admin

dimensional mail resultsWe are strong believers in the benefits brought to your B2B Mail results by using dimensional mailers, chunky mail, lumpy mail - call it what you will. There are many reasons for this but first and foremost it is that a mailer that looks like a gift pack is going to gain much more attention than a mailer that looks like a bill!

For that reason alone it is well worth considering using a custom mailing pack for your B2B mail promotions. As we have said many times, a pack stands out in your customer’s morning mail and it will arouse curiosity about what is held within. In all likelihood, that means that a pack will be the first item opened by your customer which means that it receieves full attention rather than just a cursory glance. What it also means, however, is that you should not then present your customer with disappointing pack contents. Once the pack has done its job it is up to the contents to hold customer attention long enough for your message to hit home. It is not good enough to simply pack up a brochure and a letter. You need to be inventive.

If you are sending a brochure that demands a few minutes to read then get clever. For example, you could design your pack with a cup of tea and a biscuit with the slogan - “take a break with us”. Inside your pack you could include a tea bag and a wrapped biscuit. Your covering letter could have the heading “Something to read at break time”. I’m sure that you creative types can think of something much stronger than that but you know where I’m coming from!

Always remember, when you design a pack, make sure that you make mock-ups, fill them with the actual contents and send them off to yourself through the post to test them properly. The idea falls flat if the pack arrives battered and torn and the biscuit is not much more than a pile of crumbs! We are able to help you with ideas for the custom pack and we will probably be able to produce it for you - though there are some areas in which we have limited expertise such as production of printed tubes and so on. However, we can handle the actual mailing at our mailing house.

Dynamic Dimensional Products For High Direct Mail Response Rates

November 15th, 2010 by admin

response ratesOne look at the Testimonials page on our PopupMailers website will tell you that we have an awful lot of happy customers. However, a closer look will tell you that our products are particularly good at generating response.

I have written many blogs about direct mail, mainly on the subject of how much crap is sent out by companies that don’t seem to have grasped the basics of what B2B Direct Mail is supposed to achieve. The first rule is to make sure that the mailing piece reaches the intended recipient. The second is to persuade the addressee to open the pacakage. Next on the list is to get the taget to actually read your message and to respond to it.  It’s incredible just how much mail we get every week that hasn’t got a chance of achieving these objectives.

Marketers who send direct mail also receive direct mail. You would think that they might learn from their own experience and avoid sending out mailers that don’t work. There’s no point copying the stuff that they themselves don’t respond to. I wonder if the decision to send out mailers - even in the knowledge that they won’t work - is influenced by someone other than marketing personnel. Maybe the decision might be influenced by someone holding the purse strings. If so, they have just made a big mistake as just about every penny that they authorise for a bad campaign will be thrown down the drain.

To achieve what B2B Direct mail is supposed to achieve - OPEN*READ*RESPOND - check out the testimonials on our website. Automatic pop-ups or dynamic dimensionals have a terrific track record at generating high response rates and doing the job that marketing professionals want from their B2B direct mail. Don’t throw your marketing budget down the drain!

How to Choose a Mailing House

November 10th, 2010 by admin

mail by handI’ve been looking at websites for mailing houses in the North West of England and I have been somewhat surprised by one feature that is common to almost all of them. There is little or nothing on the main landing page to tell the visitor what sets this mailing house apart from all the others. There is nothing to say, “Here’s why you should use us. Here’s what we offer that makes us better than the rest.”

I’m a great believer in the strength of the main landing page or the “home” page. All web designers worth their salt will tell you that the “home” page needs to have a strong, persuasive message and an inviting look. Google gives some brilliant tips on the subject - but I digress. The main thing that I want to talk about is how should you go about choosing a mailing house for your regular B2B mail promotions.

If your promotions are predominantly flat mail, containing nothing more than a letter and a leaflet and you mail out in hunderds of thousands then obviously you need a fully automated mailing house with full print facilities. Companies such as this deal with your mail in almost “production line” fashion. However, most B2B mailings are targetted at much smaller audiences with a need to get results. The trend is very much in favour of “dimensional mail” for its record of producing high response rates. An automated line for envelope filling is of little use if your mail is going into a custom made box or something similar. You will need a hand-fill specialist. You will find that most large companies with big, automated lines will also offer hand-fill services.

As we are B2B mail specialists, we don’t have an automated line. Everything that we do is done by hand and we’ve been doing it that way for about 20 years.  However, choosing a mailing house is not just a simple choice between automated and hand-fill operations. You need to feel comfortable with a mailing house as you put a lot of trust in your chosen supplier to get your promotion right, do it in a clean and professional environment, do it with accurate and thorough ckecks and to do it on time.

We have offer 10 vital tips on how to choose a mailing house on our Mail by Hand website that should help make the process easier for you. Good luck!
