Here’s a new product that can add customer interaction to your table-top displays and menus. It’s the Prism Card. It arrives flat but when two tabs are pulled, up pops a tent card or prism to create a neat table talker. It is great as a “specials” menu or for featuring a new offer or product.
Customer interaction is a great attention-grabbing feature
A product with built-in customer interaction has to be a POS winner. Most display items just kind of stand there, so it is quite exciting to find a table talker that actually does something. The actual stand-up shape of the prism card is eye-catching in itself, looking a bit like “The Angel of the North”. The fact that it grows and flattens when your customer moves the tabs only adds to the attention that your marketing message will receive.
Good size for a table in a fast food diner
The main menu will take up the biggest space on a table in a fast food diner so the Prism Card needs to gain attention by its shape and curiosity value and it does this quite admirably. It stands just 135mm high but its side arms extend to a span of over 200mm to create an eye-catching table-top display.
Customer interaction makes a great direct mailer
The Prism Card can be used for other marketing purposes given the right idea and right graphics. It starts life as a flat, square mailing piece but changes to a 3-D display piece and this change can be used to portray many marketing messages. In fact, the 3-D piece could be used as a tent card rather than a table talker which illustrates the products versatility. It’s certainly worth getting hold of a sample to check out the suitability of the Prism Card for future campaigns.

Great news for all marketing professionals in the tourism industry. Pocket Poppits are here - a range of new mini visitor guides that your visitors will actually want to keep!
Here’s the current scenario - don’t waste your budget this way!
Many visitor guides are 1/3 A4 folded leaflets. They are too big for a purse or wallet and fit in your pocket only when folded down to a smaller size. These guides are often found in the waste bins at the actual tourist attraction. Theme parks and pleasure beach attractions are littered with them. What a shameful waste of marketing effort, not to mention the waste of money and waste of paper.
Pocket Poppits represent good value and are rarely discarded
We have introduced Pocket Poppits to rectify the current situation. They are mini pocket-sized guides that visitors will actually keep. This will add longevity to your campaigns. It gives your visitor a much more useable product and it will ultimately offer savings in your marketing budget!
Pocket Poppits are convenient and don’t spoil
The key to the success of Pocket Poppits is simply their size. They fit neatly in a pocket, purse, wallet or handbag. They don’t need any extra folding and therefore they are not spoiled when your visitors come to re-use them. There are 4 different styles and each has something different to offer. As an added bonus, Pocket Poppits come ready-packed in handy counter top display units.

If you are in charge of marketing for a tourist destination, a theatre, a sports stadium or any kind of attraction with lots of visitors then take a look at Pocket Poppits. A new innovation from Whitney Woods, Pocket Poppits are tourism guides that your visitors will carry with them. They fit neatly into a wallet, purse, pocket or handbag and are very easy to use. There are four new designs, all of which are credit card-sized but each offers a different display for your map, plan or guide.
Double Display Attracts Attention
One product with two displays is the Double Starburst. This handy guide is a real favourite with one display usually being used for the map or plan whilst the other display is used to give details of the attraction. Both displays open with a very attractive flourish which is good for catching your visitor’s attention.
A4 fold-out gives planty of space for sponsorship
Many attractions, particularly towns and villages, will need the guide to be self-funding and the Little Big Card has plenty of scope for sponsorship. One example is shown on the card produced by the picturesque village of Waddington. The map highlights points of interest including restaurants, hotels and unique reatil outlets. Local businesses such as these are usually happy to contribute to the cost of production in return for the “free” publicity.
Discount Vouchers and Loyalty Coupons add value
The Foldilocks Card features perforated folds which gives your attraction the opportunity to present your visitors with discount vouchers and coupons. A map or plan can still be incorporated into the inside cover making this a unique alternative to standard guides.
Super slim profile fits credit card slot
The Mini Starburst fits very neatly into a credit card slot in a wallet or purse. This makes it perfect for a guide which is intended to be retained for ease of use over a long period. Metro guides, major bus routes, the London Underground and so on would all be ideal uses.
Free Counter Display Dispensers with all orders
Each type of guide is supplied ready-packed in attractive counter dispenser units which makes it very easy for distribution to key visitor points. You can see more on our Tourism Guides section on our website.

To ensure that your B2B Magazine Advertising is reaching your target audience and generating a good response rate you need to ensure that you use unusual techniques. Not only do you need to capture your readers’ attention quickly, you need to retain it and make sure your message is delivered. To stand out from the crowd the following are a couple of novel ideas:
Interactive Tip-on to promote response
One way to ensure that your message is delivered is to use an Interloop as a tip-on. Tip-ons are forms of advertising or communication that have to be removed to read which guarantees immediate reaction. The Interloop is an impressive and effective form of tip-on and because it is affixed to your flat advertisement on the page, the first thing the reader does is to remove the Interloop and start to play with it. This reminds me of the puzzles we had when we were children, very interactive and a talking point immediately. Interest in your advert or editorial is gained quickly and efficiently with an Interloop and your message is retained rather than the reader flicking onto the next page and forgetting about it! Rarely are they discarded, they are still around long after the magazine is in the bin!
Loose Inserts with a difference
How often are there many loose flyers inside a B2B Magazine all looking the same, identical in shape and colour? Very often these are only read very quickly or not at all so why not try loose inserts with a difference, a shaped insert will always be distinctive and stand out. I particularly like the “door hanger” shape since this is perceived as a gift for the reader and will be used in a fun way, ensuring that your message is not only retained but also viewed by a wider audience. A Car Dealership recently used the Door Hanger shape to promote a new spec of car – luxury and comfort were the key messages – hence the comparison to a “Do Not Disturb” hotel door hanger. There is plenty of room for printing and graphics; you are definitely onto a winner with these.

The handy size of the Pocket Poppits range of Tourism guides are a must for your visitors. All the designs have plenty of room for information and fit easily into a pocket, purse or handbag making them perfect for Heritage Sites, Theme Parks, Museums, Theatre and City Guides. Another advantage is that your visitors will keep the guide because of its handy size which increases your advertising exposure.
Double Starburst with unique folds
This really has the “wow factor” and is ideal for theatre or stadium guides for sporting and musical events. On the outer cover you can display details of the current show or event on the front with forthcoming events on the back. The Double Starburst opens with a theatrical flourish revealing two large print areas. One is perfect for a seating plan and the other for the show or event you are promoting.
Visitors unfold your information with a Foldilocks
The 12 panels within the cover of the Foldilocks card make this perfect as a tourism guide. There is plenty of room to inform visitors of special exhibitions, opening times and there is even room for a location map! All the essential information in one handy pocket sized foldilocks that will be taken home extending your publicity.
The Little Card with Big Impact
Access to a handy sized street map with the little big card is just the ticket! The covers are credit sized and can fit into pocket, purse or wallet yet the street map unfolds into an A4 display. Larger street maps are too bulky to keep afterwards whereas the little big card will certainly be retained for future reference. This design also lends itself perfectly to bus and train routes.
Mini Starburst
This compact and slim credit card size mini starburst is perfect for a town plan where you can show the main streets and thoroughfares. Although small, there is still plenty of room for displaying the main tourist area and metro or bus routes for city plans.
Free Counter Display Unit
All Pocket Poppits come packed in superb counter display boxes which look fantastic and are completely free of charge. These are very neat with a display card demonstrating the ideal handy pocket-size benefits.
