Pop Up House was used to promote exhibitions but printing it as a desk calendar extended its life

Spike Leisurewear of Harrow produces a fun range of quality clothing and is well known in the UK for its range of officially licensed T-shirts featuring favourites such as The Beatles and The Simpsons. The company has a significant presence at important exhibitions such as the huge Autumn and Spring Fairs held at the NEC in Birmingham. Company founder, Richard Marks wanted to tell his customers about the forthcoming exhibitions but didn’t feel that a simple leaflet was enough of a marketing tool. He wanted to achieve more with his promotional mailing.

 Richard certainly did his homework and was rewarded when he chose our promotional pop-up house for the job. “We asked Whitney Woods to make us a Pop up to promote our up-coming exhibitions and the result was exceptional” , he explained, “We are still reaping the benefits.”

 However, not only did he recognise the pop up house as a product with a high instant impact he also had the foresight to add dates to the custom print which transformed the product into a neat desk top calendar which gave the product added functionality and added life expectancy. Richard continued,” Even now, months after they were mailed out, I often see our pop-ups on the desks and tills of our customers.”

 This is another example of one man maximizing his marketing opportunity by thinking several steps ahead of his competitors. Not only did he take the time and effort to find a product which grabbed his customers’ attention, he ensured that his company details would stay in front of his customer for the next 12 months.
